Description

Double Sided Gondola Rack price in Bangladesh

Double Sided Gondola Rack offers retailers a durable shelving solution for organized two-way product display in supermarkets and stores. The Double Sided Gondola Rack from Dream Super Shop Solutions is a practical supershop equipment solution for business owners who want to maximize available floor space, create structured shopping aisles, and display more products within a professional retail environment.

📌 Product Overview

A double sided gondola rack is a freestanding retail display fixture with shelving surfaces on both sides. Unlike a wall-mounted rack, it can be positioned in the middle of a shop floor to create organized aisles and make products accessible from two directions. This design makes the rack particularly useful for supermarkets, grocery stores, department stores, pharmacies, mini marts, and convenience stores.

The Double Sided Gondola Rack Price in Bangladesh may vary depending on the rack height, width, depth, shelf quantity, steel thickness, load requirements, finishing, configuration, installation requirements, and customization options. Therefore, retailers should select a rack based on store size, product category, available floor area, expected shelf load, and merchandising plan rather than considering price alone.

A high-quality Gondola Display Rack can help transform an unorganized retail area into a structured and customer-friendly shopping environment. Its dual-sided design allows businesses to display products on both sides of the same central fixture, making it a space-efficient alternative to placing separate shelving units back-to-back.

The Double Sided Shop Rack is also suitable for businesses that need a flexible product display arrangement. Its adjustable shelves can be repositioned to accommodate packaged foods, household products, cosmetics, stationery, medicines, electronics accessories, hardware items, pet products, beverages, and many other retail goods.

For supermarkets planning a complete aisle layout, a Supermarket Gondola Shelf can be installed in multiple connected bays. This modular arrangement allows the business to create short or long product aisles according to the available floor plan. End cap racks may also be added at the ends of the gondola rows to create additional promotional display areas.

The Retail Gondola Unit is freestanding, which means it does not depend on a wall for support. When installed correctly on a suitable floor, it can be used to divide retail zones, guide customer movement, separate product categories, and create a more systematic shopping experience.

A Free Standing Gondola Rack can be customized according to the visual and functional requirements of the business. Depending on the project, buyers may request different shelf quantities, rack heights, shelf depths, back panel arrangements, base shelves, load capacities, colors, and aisle configurations.

Businesses searching for a heavy duty double sided gondola display rack should assess the expected product load before ordering. Products such as packaged food, household goods, bottles, hardware accessories, and bulk merchandise may require a stronger configuration than lightweight cosmetics, stationery, or fashion accessories.

An adjustable double face gondola shelf unit is especially useful for retailers whose product assortment changes regularly. The shelf positions can be reorganized to create more or less vertical space, helping the store adapt its displays for new products, seasonal promotions, or changing inventory.

For businesses looking for an affordable double sided gondola rack for a retail store, Dream Super Shop Solutions can provide customized recommendations based on the available space and merchandising requirements. The objective is to balance durability, professional appearance, product capacity, customer accessibility, and overall project budget.

What Is a Double Sided Gondola Rack?

A double sided gondola rack is a modular metal retail shelving system that provides display space on two opposite sides. It generally includes upright frames, base sections, back panels, adjustable shelves, support brackets, and other structural components required for a stable display unit.

Because it is accessible from both sides, the rack is normally positioned in the central area of a retail store. Multiple units can be connected to form supermarket aisles, product zones, promotional sections, or category-based merchandise displays.

Why Is It Useful?

The primary advantage of a Double Face Gondola System is its ability to use retail floor space efficiently. Instead of leaving the central area empty or using separate display furniture, retailers can install dual-sided shelving and display a large number of products in an organized format.

The rack also improves product visibility. Customers can browse items from both sides, while store employees can arrange products by category, brand, price, size, function, or promotional priority.

⚖️ Product Comparison

Choosing the correct retail display fixture depends on where the rack will be installed, what products it will hold, how customers will approach it, and how much floor space is available. A double sided gondola rack is only one of several retail shelving options.

Double Sided Gondola Rack vs. Single Sided Wall Rack

A double sided gondola rack is designed for the central area of a shop and provides display shelves on two sides. A single sided wall rack is positioned against a wall and provides display space on only one side.

The double sided option offers greater central-floor display capacity and is better for creating aisles. However, it generally occupies more floor width than a wall rack.

A wall rack is useful for perimeter merchandising and helps retailers use vertical wall space. Its disadvantage is that customers can access it from only one direction.

Best use: Choose double sided gondola units for central aisles and single sided racks for perimeter walls. Many retail stores benefit from using both types together.

Double Sided Gondola Rack vs. End Cap Rack

A double sided gondola rack forms the main body of a product aisle. An end cap rack is installed at the end of the aisle and usually faces the main customer pathway.

The gondola rack provides higher overall product capacity, while the end cap is more effective for promotions, seasonal merchandise, new products, and high-visibility displays.

An end cap cannot normally replace the capacity of a complete gondola row. Likewise, a standard gondola bay may not provide the same promotional visibility as a well-positioned end cap.

Best use: Use the main gondola system for regular merchandise and end caps for featured or promotional products.

Double Sided Gondola Rack vs. Lightweight Display Shelf

A commercial gondola rack is intended for systematic retail use and may offer a more modular and durable structure. A lightweight display shelf is generally easier to move and may cost less, but it may provide limited load capacity, stability, customization, or expansion potential.

Lightweight shelves can be useful for temporary displays, events, or very light merchandise. However, retailers should not overload them or use them for products beyond their intended capacity.

Best use: Choose a commercial gondola system for permanent retail aisles and lightweight displays for temporary or low-load merchandising.

Double Sided Gondola Rack vs. Warehouse Storage Rack

A double sided gondola rack prioritizes customer access, product presentation, and retail appearance. A warehouse storage rack primarily prioritizes bulk storage, pallet handling, inventory density, and industrial loading.

Warehouse racks may support significantly different loading conditions, but they are not always suitable for customer-facing retail environments. Gondola racks provide better shelf accessibility and merchandising flexibility but should not be treated as pallet or industrial storage systems.

Best use: Choose gondola racks for customer-facing retail displays and appropriate warehouse systems for industrial or bulk storage.

Advantages of Double Sided Gondola Racks

• Products can be displayed on both sides.
• Central floor space can be used efficiently.
• Multiple units can form organized aisles.
• Shelves can be adjusted for different products.
• The system can be expanded with additional bays.
• End cap displays can be added.
• Products remain accessible to customers.
• The layout supports category-based merchandising.

Possible Disadvantages

• The rack requires adequate floor width.
• Poor aisle planning may make the store feel crowded.
• Incorrect assembly can affect stability.
• Overloading may damage shelves or structural components.
• A customized system may require a higher initial investment than basic lightweight shelving.
• Moving a connected rack system may require disassembly.

Buying Recommendation

Select a double sided rack when you need a permanent central merchandising fixture with product access on both sides. Before ordering, confirm the available floor dimensions, required aisle width, product types, expected loads, shelf quantity, preferred height, base depth, finishing, delivery conditions, and installation requirements.

Do not choose a rack only because it has the lowest price. Consider structural suitability, finish quality, shelf adjustability, future expansion, installation support, after-sales communication, and compatibility with your store layout.

🧼 Maintenance Guide

Proper maintenance helps preserve the rack’s appearance, structural condition, and usability. Store owners should establish a simple inspection and cleaning routine rather than waiting for visible damage to become serious.

Cleaning

Remove dust regularly using a clean, soft, dry cloth or suitable duster. For general cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild cleaning solution appropriate for painted or coated metal surfaces.

Avoid using strongly acidic, alkaline, abrasive, or corrosive chemicals unless the rack manufacturer has confirmed that they are safe for the finish. After wet cleaning, dry the surface completely, especially around joints, brackets, shelf corners, and base sections.

Products that leak oil, liquid, chemicals, or food ingredients should be removed immediately. Clean the affected shelf before replacing the products.

Rust Prevention

Keep the rack away from prolonged moisture, standing water, roof leakage, wet walls, and excessive humidity where possible. Scratches, damaged coating, and exposed metal should be inspected and repaired using an appropriate method.

Do not place wet cartons or leaking containers directly on the shelves. Make sure the floor-cleaning team does not leave water around the rack base.

Weight Capacity

Every shelf and rack configuration has a suitable load limit. The approved capacity should be confirmed with the supplier based on the selected material, shelf dimensions, bracket arrangement, and structural configuration.

Distribute products evenly instead of concentrating excessive weight in one area. Heavier products should generally be placed on lower shelves to improve stability, while lighter products may be displayed at higher levels.

Never assume that a retail gondola shelf has the same load capacity as an industrial warehouse rack.

Safety

Install the rack on a level, stable, and suitable floor. Make sure all upright frames, shelves, brackets, panels, and connectors are assembled correctly.

Keep customer pathways free from sharp objects, loose components, damaged shelves, or products extending dangerously into the aisle. Do not allow children or customers to climb, pull, sit, or hang on the shelving.

Any rack that appears tilted, unstable, bent, cracked, or damaged should be unloaded and inspected before continued use.

Routine Inspection

• Inspect the rack regularly for:
• Loose brackets or connectors
• Bent shelves
• Damaged upright frames
• Uneven rack alignment
• Rust or coating damage
• Unstable base sections
• Overloaded shelves
• Sharp edges
• Missing components
• Floor movement or settlement
• Damage caused by trolleys or product handling

The inspection frequency should reflect the store’s traffic, product weight, restocking frequency, and operating conditions.

Long-Term Care

Maintain a record of major repairs, relocations, modifications, and replacement components. Use compatible parts when replacing shelves or brackets.

Avoid modifying structural components through uncontrolled cutting, drilling, welding, or bending. Any major alteration should be reviewed by the supplier or a qualified technical professional.

Storage Before Installation

If the rack components will be stored before installation, keep them in a dry, covered, and secure place. Protect panels and shelves from moisture, impact, dust, chemicals, and direct contact with rough flooring.

Stack components carefully to prevent bending, scratching, or damage to the surface finish. Keep small connectors and accessories properly labelled.

Maintenance Best Practices

• Train employees on shelf loading.
• Keep heavy items on lower levels.
• Clean spills immediately.
• Avoid corrosive cleaning agents.
• Check shelves after product rearrangement.
• Inspect racks after accidental impact.
• Replace damaged components promptly.
• Maintain appropriate aisle clearance.
• Do not exceed the confirmed capacity.
• Use professional assistance for major repairs.

🏬 Industry Use Cases

Supermarket Grocery Aisles

Supermarkets can connect multiple gondola units to create long aisles for rice, flour, snacks, spices, canned foods, beverages, household products, and personal care goods. Adjustable shelves allow different package sizes to be organized within the same aisle.

Convenience Store Essentials

Convenience stores often operate within limited areas. A carefully selected freestanding shop rack can use central floor space efficiently while keeping everyday products accessible.

Shorter rows and appropriate aisle clearances can help maintain an open and customer-friendly environment.

Pharmacy and Healthcare Retail

Pharmacies can use gondola racks for hygiene products, personal care merchandise, wellness accessories, packaged healthcare goods, baby-care products, and other approved retail items.

Clear shelf categorization can help customers locate products more easily.

Cosmetics and Beauty Shops

Cosmetics shops require attractive and highly organized displays. Gondola shelves can separate skincare, haircare, toiletries, beauty accessories, fragrances, and promotional products.

Eye-level shelves may be used for priority merchandise, while lower shelves can hold larger packages or reserve display stock.

Electronics Accessories Stores

Retailers can organize packaged cables, adapters, chargers, batteries, earphones, small accessories, and related products. Smaller goods may require appropriate hooks, trays, separators, or specialized shelf accessories.

The selected rack must be suitable for the intended products and display method.

Hardware and Home Improvement Shops

A heavy duty gondola shelf may be configured for packaged tools, fittings, fasteners, electrical accessories, plumbing items, tapes, brushes, and small household repair products.

Retailers should carefully assess weight requirements and avoid placing industrial loads on a standard retail configuration.

Stationery and Office Supply Shops

Stationery retailers can display notebooks, paper products, files, pens, art materials, school supplies, office accessories, and packaged learning materials.

The shelves can be divided by product type, customer group, brand, or price range.

Book and Educational Stores

Suitable shelf arrangements can support books, notebooks, educational tools, examination materials, children’s learning products, and related accessories.

Retailers should consider book weight when deciding shelf width, loading, and support requirements.

Fashion and Lifestyle Retail

Fashion retailers can use gondola systems for folded merchandise, packaged clothing, footwear accessories, lifestyle products, bags, small boxes, and promotional displays.

The finishing and color of the rack can be selected to complement the store’s visual identity where customization is available.

Gift and Souvenir Shops

A modular gondola system can display seasonal gifts, decorative items, souvenirs, greeting products, packaged accessories, and promotional collections.

Shelf heights can be adjusted to accommodate items with different shapes and packaging.

Pet Product Stores

Pet shops can use the racks for packaged pet food, grooming accessories, toys, feeding items, hygiene products, and other pet-care merchandise.

Heavier food packages should be placed on lower shelves and within the confirmed load capacity.

Department Stores

Department stores may use different gondola sections for household items, cleaning products, kitchen accessories, personal care goods, packaged products, and seasonal merchandise.

Modular expansion allows the retailer to create separate zones while maintaining a consistent fixture style.

Grocery and Mini Mart Displays

Small grocery stores and mini marts can use compact gondola rows to separate snacks, beverages, cooking ingredients, personal care products, and daily essentials.

The layout should maintain comfortable customer movement and avoid creating excessively narrow aisles.

Promotional and Seasonal Displays

Retailers can dedicate selected bays or end sections to festivals, discount campaigns, product launches, clearance items, or seasonal collections.

Flexible shelf arrangements make it easier to update these displays as promotional priorities change.

New Retail Store Setup

Businesses opening a new store can integrate gondola units into the overall layout from the planning stage. This makes it easier to coordinate aisle length, customer movement, category placement, checkout access, wall shelving, and promotional areas.
